The construction of the New Bauhaus Museum is a project by the Klassik Stiftung Weimar. The planned museum will be built near the Weimarhallenpark and will present the Weimar collections of the State Bauhaus, which was founded in Weimar in 1919. The museum is scheduled to open in 2018. == Background == In 1995, a provisional Bauhaus Museum was installed at Theaterplatz in a building designed by Clemens Wenzeslaus Coudray. The construction of the New Bauhaus Museum is made possible with funding procured through a special funding programme created by federal and state authorities in July 2008. Because the New Bauhaus Museum will have a strong impact on future urban planning decisions, all the potential sites for the museum in downtown Weimar were carefully assessed before the review board selected the Weimarhallenpark in April 2010.〔http://www.klassik-stiftung.de/uploads/tx_lombkswmargcontent/Press_Release_Masterplan.pdf〕 According to the specifications provided by the Klassik Stiftung Weimar, the museum will display artistic and aesthetic positions of the modern and contemporary period in Weimar and include space for presenting the most current developments. With a transdisciplinary focus, the museum will feature works of fine art, design and architecture. In an international architectural design competition, organised by the Klassik Stiftung Weimar, architectural offices around the world submitted proposals for the New Bauhaus Museum. The winning proposal was announced in March 2012.〔http://www.klassik-stiftung.de/index.php?id=1553〕 The total investment in the project amounts to approximately 22 million euros. A total of 14.5 million euros has been allocated to covering the cost of constructing the museum. 抄文引用元・出典: フリー百科事典『 ウィキペディア(Wikipedia)』 ■ウィキペディアで「New Bauhaus Museum Weimar」の詳細全文を読む スポンサード リンク
